Research description: I am interested in the evolution of populations occurring in deep time as observed through genetic data. As such, my approach lies at the crossroad of empirical genetics and simulation-based methods. In my lab, we harness ancient and modern DNA to address questions in human evolutionary biology. We combine population genetic theory, statistics, and simulations to develop methods to infer evolutionary parameters.
