Research description: I am interested in how large-scale ecological patterns change over different spatial and temporal scales. I use this inferential framework to interpret ecological patterns and process in time-averaged fossil assemblages. My research specifically uses the 50+ year skeletal dataset collected at Amboseli National Park, southern Kenya as a "scale-bridge" between modern and fossil mammal communities. I am ultimately interested in the large mammal communities of the Omo-Turkana Basin in northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia.
